Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actor who is best known for the brilliant actress of Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Originating from New York, Maeve belongs to the Native American. She is part Blackfoot, part Cherokee. Her screen debut was in 2005's documentary Liminality . Also, she made her big screen debut in 2005 on the critically acclaimed drama comedy Transamerica. In 2004, she made her TV debut, in a four-season Law & Order Criminal Intent episode. Nadia Decotis was her role in Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise Chicago P.D. . She portrayed this character between 2011 and 2015 before reprising the role in Law & Order Special Victims Unit which is another TV series produced by Wolf. The year before, she portrayed Julia Wicker in Syfy's fantasy series The Magicians. While Stella Maeve found a solid foundation as a television actress she continued acting in indie films. Her Robert Altman Prize was presented to her in 2012 as a casting member in 2012's film Starlet at the Film Independent Spirit Awards.
