Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor with WPDE-TV. Later, she was a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on DUI situations. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
