Heidi Klum, born on 1 June 1973, in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. Her mother Erna had a career as a hairdresser. The father of Heidi Gunther Klum was a company's executive in the field of cosmetics. Heidi's dad used to be the producer of 4711, a perfume company. Heidi was raised in Bergisch Gladbach which is a town with a population of 70,000, just 6 miles east of Cologne. Former German-American model, Heidi Klum is now an actress as well as a television host. Klum's career as a model began in 1992 while she was a barmaid working in an Dusseldorf club. Klum was competing against 25,000 other contestants all across Germany as well as Europe, until she reached the semifinals. In the month of April, 1992, Klum won a top prize of $300,000.
